PCIP is the successor to OPIC for 2021–2027. The programme continues supporting SME digitalization with grants for business system implementation.
Programme Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises (PCIP) 2021–2027 is the main instrument for SME support in the new programming period. Its digitalization measures follow the OPIC logic but have been updated to reflect new technological realities and European Commission requirements.

- ERP and integrated business information systems
- CRM systems for customer relationship management
- DMS systems for document digitalization
- BI and data analytics platforms
- Development, implementation, and training costs
- Cloud solutions and SaaS subscriptions (under specific conditions)
SMEs registered in Bulgaria with at least 3 years of operational history, positive financial results, and compliance with EU SME eligibility criteria. Specific conditions vary by measure.
Grant percentages vary by measure — typically 50%–70% for micro and small enterprises, 45%–60% for medium-sized companies. Maximum grant amounts depend on the specific procedure.
